Do You Really Want To Lug Around Too Much Camping Gear?
It’s incredible how many nifty gadgets there are for camping these days! Some of these items promise to add more luxury and comfort to your trip, others may make things more convenient. But is any of that stuff actually useful?
If you want to reduce the amount of gear you bring camping, always remember safety first. You should not even consider leaving without necessary medical supplies you may need. It is important you have the basics such as bandages and any medications that might be needed. You may also wish to have a snake bite or bee sting kit as well. This is one of those things you most certainly should bring along with your gear!
The temperature and season is another thing to. Being prepared for cold or warm weather is an abolute must. Proper clothing and bedding is a definite thing to bring with you.
You should also bring sunblock, especially if traveling seaside.
{There are a few other things that can be considered necessary|Beyond the absolute must haves, there may be other items you would wish to bring|You may have additional things that are requirements for convenience}. A portable camping shower can be a great way to stay clean while camping if you do not have a public restroom with showers nearby.
In addition to camping supplies you may wish to bring, you should also consider what you will need for food preparation. It is a good idea to bring cooking utensils. You don’t want to be hungry while you are camping! Not everyone needs a camp kitchen box for preparing food, though could be nice to have.
Do you need things like glow sticks, toast makers and other similiar items? Most likely not! These types of things will only take up valuable space.
Before loading up on the newest camping gadget, consider if it will actually be used. You will survive without it!
